Toshiba's latest Excite tablet is expected to hit the market sometime around February next year. Company's Canadian website has Excite's product page where the new tablet has been promoted as a gift for holiday despite the fact that it will be reaching in the month of February 2012.
The Japanese technology company, Toshiba, is calling the new Excite "the thinnest, lightest tablet on the market today" which is a sharp contrast to the earlier Thrive that had to face criticism due to its size and weight, reported CNET.
The webpage dedicated to Excite tablet reveals general specification as of now and nothing beyond. In fact, information regarding its price or which markets it will be launching in has not been declared yet.
On the other hand, the US website has not mentioned anything about the new tablet's availability and still working on the promotion of the earlier Thrive. Toshiba hasn't officially announced the tablet's launch date.
The 10.1-inch Toshiba Excite is a follow-up of the 7-inch and the 10-inch Thrive tablets and will be powered by Android Honeycomb.
