Apple Willing to Pay $400+ Million for Israel-Based Semiconductor Maker Anobit

According to various reports, Apple is all set to invest a huge amount of money to acquire Israel based semiconductor maker Anobit.

To acquire this Herzliya Pituach, Israel based company Apple is ready to pay $400 million to $500 million, as reportedby Calcalist. Anobit specialises is making flash storage technology.

Apple is one of the most successful consumer electronics companies worldwide - famous for iPhone, iPad, iPod and Mac systems.

Anobit provides flash storage solutions for mobile markets and enterprises on the basis of Memory Signal Processing technology. The solutions are provided by this company are designed specifically to enhance speed, endurance and performance of the flash storage system.

This undertaking is a very unusual move by Apple which is not known for investing non-software companies.

Anobit has kept its list of customers and references undisclosed. However, the company has claimed that the world's leading consumer electronics vendors, flash manufacturers and storage system providers are clients. According to reports, Anobit has around 200 employees.
