Adobe has launched Flash Player v. 11.1, equipped with support for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
This new offering has certainly brought some much needed good news for owners of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus who have been using their devices without flash support ever since it was launched,
"This release includes no major features but enhancements and bug fixes related to stability, performance, and device compatibility," stated Adobe, according to a report by the Inquirer.
The update, sized at around 4.5 MB, will be available as a free download on the Android market. The update is compatible with Android 2.2 Froyo and all its successors including the Ice Cream Sandwich.
Adobe, however, admitted the update has left some issues unresolved, which will be taken care of in future releases, if any. Additional updates will probably be available on the Android market as well.
It is important to note here that earlier in the month of November, the productivity software maker announced it was pondering over the idea of discontinuing mobile Flash stating that it would focus more on HTML 5 instead.
