Presentation software maker Prezi has received $14 million in a recent Series B round of funding led by Accel Partners.
The company has emerged as a prominent alternative to Microsoft's PowerPoint and has garnered a user base of more than 7 million users worldwide.
Apart from offering a cloud based web solution, the company also offers Prezi Desktop for offline creation and editing of presentation. Prezi also offers Prezi Meeting for real-time collaboration and a Prezi Viewer app for the iPad.
The company has shown tremendous growth since its inception, becoming cash flow positive in the first year of its launch. Prezi acquired around 5 million of its 7 million existing user base in the last year alone.
Sunstone Capital joined Accel Partners in the Series B round of funding which fetched Prezi $14 million in funds. Sunstone also had participated in the Series A round of funding worth $1.5 million.
