The deal of the year when it comes to smartphones, has to be the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, whose price has been slashed by almost 70 per cent since its introduction at the beginning of the year.
The phone, which is the only one on the market to come with a proper physical game controller, can be had from Chitter Chatter for £155.
This price includes £5 topup, a 16GB memory card and an Android app pack worth £20, plus six months free internet courtesy of T-Mobile, although the phone itself is SIM free and unlocked.
All Xperia Play smartphones come with six preloaded titles; The Sims 3, Star Battalion, Tetris, FIFA 10, Crash Bandicoot and Bruce Lee Dragon Warrior.
In addition, you can download five EA titles for free; Need for Speed shift, Need for Speed hot pursuit, Deadspace, Battlefield Bad Company 2 and FIFA 12 from here.
Customers may also buy the Sony Ericsson XP151 gaming experience pack for the handset for £17.99 from Amazon. The pack contains three downloadable Gameloft games, a docking station for the smartphone, an audio port and cable at the back.
The phone is still a very capable handset and certainly one of the best on the market at this price. It runs on Gingerbread and will be upgradable to Ice Cream Sandwich next year.
