Sad developments for Galaxy lovers in the UK as it has been virtually confirmed that the much awaited Samsung Galaxy Xcover S5690 journey into the UK market has been put on a temporary halt, meaning the fan boys will have to wait a few days more in order to lay their hands on the device.
The Galaxy Xcover S5690 was originally slated to be released in the country in the coming holiday season. However, Handtec - the leading online retail shop in the country has announced in the product home page that the device is not going to hit the market any sooner than the early January next year.
The same is the case with Amazon, which confirmed that the device won't be in stock for UK consumers before January 1.
The device is equipped with an 800 MHz processor, 150 MB internal storage and 512 MB RAM. The storage capacity can be enhanced by using the micro SD card slot though. In addition, the device has also been blessed with a descent 3.65" display (Gorilla Glass), as well as a 3.2 megapixel rear camera. It also boasts of a front camera for video calling purposes.
The price of this Android 2.3 powered device has been fixed by Handtec at £224.39.
