Starting this week, iPad owners can enjoy a new redesigned interface when using Netflix, the update makes it much easier to access TV shows and streaming movies on the app.
So what's special about this interface? Well, for starters, it features twice as many movie and TV show titles displayed on the screen at one time. Also users have the possibility to resume any of the six most recently watched titles, displayed at the top of the app with the Continue Watching feature.
Netflix also stated that it has addressed some stabilitiy issues within the app, and everything seems to be running smoothly now. Netflix for iPad is free to download and available from the iTunes App Store, but in order to work, it will require a Netflix subscription.
The service has also been made available in South America, along with the iPhone app; Apple also announced the arrival of iTunes Store with iTunes Match in Latin America and Apple TV in Brazil.
Also, for the little ones, Netflix "Just for Kids" is now available on Apple TV and provides a section that offers a huge list of TV shows and movies for children 12 and under.
Update: It appears some people are having trouble logging in following the update; Netflix has issued the following statement:
We understand that some of our members may be having trouble signing into the Netflix app. We're deeply sorry about the inconvenience and we'd like to work directly with you to figure out what is causing the problem.
We have a workaround that has been helpful for some members:
1. Try adding a space after the last character in your password, and
2. Verify that you can login to site but not phone (if neither works you will need to contact support (http://www.netflix.com/Support),
If none of these options work, you can reach us at firstname.lastname@example.org or on Twitter via @netflixmobile.
