Survey determines teens just want a mobile phone for Christmas

Mobile app gift company Mobiroo has commissioned a survey over what children want for Christmas, which has produced the results that kids just want a mobile phone.

Mobiroo is a company that retails gift card vouchers, to be used on the Android and BlackBerry application repositories - where it surveyed 1000, 11 to 18 year olds.

Nearly two-thirds of these teens questioned, at 61-percent, said a mobile phone is at the top of their Christmas wish list this year.

Research bods conducted the survey on behalf of Mobiroo, which also noted that 17-percent of those asked also pretended to their parents that they still believed in Santa Clause - as an incentive to get the gifts they wanted.

Seventy-seven percent wanted to make sure they got the correct present on Christmas Day, so they told their parents directly what they want, to avoid disappointment on December 25th.

A further 20-percent have admitted to being rude to family and friends, when they have been unhappy with their gifts - whilst the same amount would give presents away to charity, rather than throwing them away and 42-percent would just pass them on to someone they knew.

Mobiroo app gift cards are available at ASDA, Gamestop, GAME, and The Carphone Warehouse whilst being available in £10 and £20 denominations.
