Updates to WD TV Live and WD TV Live Hub Enhance Streaming Experience

Western Digital has released a series of updates for its WD TV Live and WD TV Live Hub media streaming devices.

These devices allow users to view content provided by Netflix, Hulu Plus, YouTube, Facebook and stream music via Spotify and Pandora on their TV.

The company also announced the inclusion of Vudu which will bring a massive library of rentable HD movies and TV shows to users.

WD TV Live and WD TV Live Hub also includes SnagFilms, XOS College Sports, SEC Digital Network, Comedy Time and Watch Mojo.

The company also released an Android and iOS app for users, allowing them to turn their iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch or Android smartphone into an advanced feature-rich remote control for the devices, as reported by CNET.

"WD TV personalises the entertainment experience for consumers better than any other digital media player," said Chris Bull, director of marketing for WD's Connected Home Solutions group.

"Whether it is photos or movies on your PC, Mac, tablet, smartphone, personal cloud drive such as the My Book Live, or one of our exciting entertainment services such as VUDU, WD TV media players enable anyone in the family to easily enjoy a custom entertainment experience with their favorite movies, TV shows, music and photos," he added.
