Korea based, world's second largest TV maker, LG has announced that it is adding voice recognition support to its massively anticipated Magic Remote TV control.
The Magic Remote was already made available to users through a number of major markets by the company. The remote has already been subject to some rather positive reviews from both experts, as well as users - particularly for its ability to operate like a Nintendo Wii controller. The device however, was not equipped with voice control capabilities previously.
The Magic Remote TV control may play a crucial role for company's growth, as with this offering LG managed to go one step ahead of Apple, who is also planning to dish out its own Siri powered TV in the still-emerging smart TV market.
"The new Magic Remote is our latest example, incorporating new functions that will make it easier for users to approach and use the Cinema 3D Smart TVs, particularly our Smart TV function which now has over 1,000 apps and a growing abundance of premium content," said Havis Kwon, president and CEO of LG Home Entertainment, reports The Inquirer.
