Sony has announced it will soon launch the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to Sonly P and S tablet devices.
It was already a known fact that the whole 2011 line of Sony Ericcson smartphones was likely to be rewarded with Android ICS update pretty soon. However, there was no confirmation coming from the PlayStation maker regarding when its massively popular new Tablet P and Tablet S devices were scheduled to get the updates.
But the company ended all rumours and speculation by announcing the forthcoming updates in a Sony UK community forum.
"Sony Tablet is evolving, and we'd like to keep you informed with the latest updates. Today we're happy to confirm that an update to Android 4.0 will be available for Sony Tablet. Details including timing will be announced in due course, so please stay tuned," read the company's announcement, Phandroid reports.
The announcement then provided a link to the Sony Tablet Evolution page to resolve further queries of the excited fans. This is exciting news for all those waiting to receive the update on these devices. The exact date of the ICS update launch is unknown at this time, but should be announced soon.
