Facebook CEO Visits Vietnam Over Christmas

Mark Zuckerberg's visit to Vietnam has drawn the attention of the tech community throughout the world. However, the massively popular social networking site's Vietnamese wing has refused to provide any details regarding his surprise visit to the Asian nation.

Apparently the Facebook founder, along with his girlfriend and a seven-person entourage landed in the northern mountain town of Sa Pa in Lao Cai Province in a couple of choppers on Christmas eve.

Ha Quang Long - the director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Quang Ninh Province visited the couple and welcomed them with flowers.

"We are so proud to welcome Facebook's CEO on our cruise," said Nguyen Thanh Hung, director of the Ha Long Phoenix Cruiser, Viet Nam News reports.

"He is so friendly and simple and expressed his good impressions of the bay after spending one night here," Hung added, clearly amused by Zuckerberg's down to earth personality.

At just 27, Zuckerberg happens to be the world's second youngest billionaire. He founded Facebook over 7 years back in 2004, which has grown into the world's largest social media site with more than 800 million users.
