Internet filter and parental control tool maker Mobicip.com has announced the release of a Safe Browser app for Android smartphones and tablets.
The company provides filtering and parental control platform for devices like the iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad, in addition to Windows 7 and Linux based laptops and desktops. The new Mobicip for Android app allows kids to browse the web safely.
The premium version of the app also comes with additional parental controls which lets parents block access to certain websites and even monitor their child's web activity. Users will be able to try out the app for 30 days before purchasing it.
"It was imperative that we launch Mobicip's Safe Browser for Android before the end of the year for two reasons." says Mobicip's Founder and CEO Suren Ramasubbu.
"One, Android OS-based devices like the Kindle Fire and Samsung Galaxy tablet are going mainstream now and being used increasingly by younger users. Two, as kids are receiving Android devices and tablets for holiday gifts, parents need solutions to ensure these gifts allow only content that is appropriate for the kids' age," he continued.
The company's iOS apps have also quite popular among users wanting to provide a safe browsing experience for their kids.
