The wireless network of US mobile phone carrier Verizon has suffered its third outage this month.
According to c|net, customers are complaining that they are not able to connect to Verizon's 3G and 4G data networks.
The outage seems to have affected Verizon customers in all the major cities including Chicago, San Francisco and New York. For a company which trumpets its reliability in its ads, this is the third outage to hit its networks this month.
The first one happened in the first week of December when users claimed that they were unable to connect to its 4G network. The second one took place only last week, with both 3G and 4G networks being affected.
"We are investigating reports of some customers experiencing trouble accessing the 4G LTE network," Verizon said in a statement to c|net.
"The network itself continues to operate and all customers continue to be able to make calls, send text messages and utilize data services. 3G devices are operating normally", the company added. Verizon however, failed to explain the reasons behind the outage or when it would be fixed.
