Acer has provided a sneak peek at the actual images of the soon-to-be-released quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 tablet, named Iconia Tab A700. Rumours regarding the Tegra 3 powered tablet started making round in early December of 2011.
Rumours started right after the president of the Taiwan based company, Jim Wong, commented in an interview that, "You may have seen some leaked stories in the media relating to Acer launching a new quad-core tablet and I can confirm these stories are true." reported Social Barrel.
Acer Iconia Tab A700's details like specification and date of release were hot topic in every technology related conversation. Many reports were published with some showing leaked images of the tab and many of them did prove to be correct.
The display of this tablet is a WUXGA along with 1920x1200 pixels resolution which is the highest for a tablet till date. WUXGA is actually for Widescreen Ultra eXtended Graphics Array that is a better and wider version of UXGA that has a 16:10 screen aspect ratio which is capable of rendering HDTV content that applies 16:9 aspect ratio and has 1920x1080p resolution.
If all goes according to the plan, Acer will be launching the Tab A700 at CES 2012.
