Social networking giant Facebook has partnered with creative business card maker Moo to allow its users to bring their social profiles to the real world.
Under the partnership, Facebook users will be able to get their Facebook Timeline cover images printed on a business card along with other profile details like Facebook URL, location, education and work information.
The companies have also announced that the first 200,000 Facebook users to sign up for their Facebook Cards service, will get the first 50 batch of cards free of cost.
In a blog post (opens in new tab), Moo explained that it worked with the Facebook Timeline team to bring the font, iconography and layout of the Timeline to its business card format.
Users will be easily able to create the Facebook Cards as most of the information on their profile will be pre-filled, thanks to the Facebook API. Even if most of the information comes pre-filled, users are free to customise the details and images on the cards however they like.
"Each pack will contain all your Cover Photos and each card will show your name, company or college, where you live as well as your Facebook URL, phone number and e-mail address. Also on the back of the card is space for you to add your own quotation or sentence about yourself," Moo explained.
