Microsoft has announced it will no longer give information related to updates for the Windows Phone platform to its users via blog postings.
In a blog post, the company said that it is axing the weekly Wheres My Phone Update? blog.
Instead, all information related to updates for the platform will be made available on the official Windows Phone website from now on.
"As we continue our growth, we won't be individually detailing country, model, and carrier details on the Where's My Phone Update? site any longer," said Eric Hautala, General Manager, Customer Experience Engineering at Microsoft's Windows Phone division.
"And instead of my weekly blog posts, the official Windows Phone website will be the primary place for news and information about our updates, just as Microsoft Answers is there for your support questions," he wrote.
The Wheres My Phones Update? blog was helpful in telling users to progress of a particular update for the Windows Phone. It told them what stage the update was currently in.
The company also said that it made a new Windows Phone update available recently; it will be available to users depending on their country and wireless carrier soon.
