Earlier today, Toshiba announced world's thinnest as well as lightest 10.1 inch tablet, namely the Excite X10. This latest tablet will arrive in US market sometime in the current quarter itself.
Toshiba Excite X10 is very similar to Toshiba AT200 that was announced a year ago with similar specifications. One of the most notable differences between both of these tablets is that the year old product does not have the world's lightest design. In other words, the company has reduced the weight of the earlier product and renamed it to manufacture the Excite X10, reported AndroidOS.
The 7.7mm thick and 1.2lbs in weight device will be running on Android 3.2 operating system and will be powered by 1.2GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor along with 1GB of RAM.
Further, the device has 10.1 inch touchscreen display of 1280 x 800 p resolution. It also has a 2 mega pixels front facing shooter and a 5 mega pixels rear camera, Micro HDMI as well as Micro SD card slot and stereo speakers.
As of now Toshiba has only announced Excite X10's US launch. US consumers will get the 16GB model for $529 and the 32GB model for $599.
