AMNews: Google 'Maps' CES 2012, Lenovo LePhone S2, HP Spectre Ultrabook Teaser, Netflix in UK

Google Maps has been updated to provide the floor maps of the Consumer Electronics Show hosted by The Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. Google's mapping app was updated some time ago with a new feature called Indoor Maps, which provides detailed floor plans for airports and large shopping malls.

According to sources, in order to replace outgoing directors, Yahoo! is in search of new board candidates. Interestingly, the US based Internet firm has hired executive search firm Heidrick and Struggles International to help with this task.

Lenovo has unveiled its LePhone S2 Android smartphone at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The company had announced the device back in November of last year. The Lenovo LePhone S2 is currently available only in China and the company has remained mum about its plans for the western markets.

The second HP Spectre Ultrabook video has been released on HP's YouTube page. Spectre ultrabook is a thin and light laptop from HP. Its first trailer was released on January 2nd. Both trailers have created lots of curiosity about this device as the specifications have not yet been disclosed or confirmed by the company - this has created even more buzz amongst consumers.

Popular American on-demand media streaming company Netflix has arrived in the UK and Ireland, with no-limits to the film and TV programmes, at £5.99 a month. Netflix can now be accessed from the internet on Apple and Android mobile phones and tablets, Mac and Windows computers, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360, LG Blu-ray players and smart TVs - from today onwards.
