Noon News: Android iOS Tug of War, AT&T Unveils Six 4G Android Devices, Intel Ultrabook at CES 2012, Huawei Ascend P1S

Google's Android surged past rival iOS during the Christmas holiday season in the United States. According to the ad impressions data released by ad network Chitika, in December, Android devices were responsible for 51.6 percent traffic on its ad network while iOS devices took the second spot, accounting for 46.5 percent of the traffic, c|net.

US wireless carrier AT&T has unveiled six new Android based LTE devices at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas which include five smartphones and one tablet device that will be made available to customers in first half of 2012.

Ultrabook, it seems, is the keyword during this year Consumer Electronics Show and Intel Corp. in their keynote address at the CES focused at some amazing Ultrabooks campaigns under the tag line "A New Era in Computing". ntel's vice president of advertising and digital marketing, Kevin Sellers, "It's going to be very epic--it's going to be very cinematic, and we are going to tell a great story,"

The Consumer Electronics Show 2012 witnessed the launch of the Huawei Ascend P1 and Ascent P1 S smartphones. Both of them offer Super AMOLED screens along with thinnest chassis ever in the market. The Chinese device manufacturer, Huawei, has termed these devices as the world's slimmest smartphones.

At the Consumer Electronics Show 2012 in Las Vegas, Canonical is demonstrating "an exciting concept design" of the Ubuntu TV. It is a version of Ubuntu Linux Operating System which will be used to run Television sets. It is the prototype unit which has been displayed at the CES which has been termed as Ubuntu TV by the company.
