Asus Unveils HD Version of Transformer Prime at CES 2012

UK customers are yet to get access to Asus Transformer Prime, however, the latest update is that the device has been superseded by a latest high end model which is fully loaded and comes with a 1080p HD display.

Released at the Consumer Electronic Show 2012 the latest version of Transformer Prime is equipped with a super IPS+LCD panel and will feature Gorilla Glass. This latest product from Asus is Tegra 3, quad-core toting hybrid tab along with a WUXGA full HD 1920x1080 resolution screen.

Officially named as TF700T chances are that the tablet will hit shelves sometime in Q2 or Q3 of this year and will be carrying price tag of $600 for 32GB model and $700 for 64GB model.

At NVIDIA's press conference at CES the Asus CEO Jerry Shen declared that from Monday the $500 EeePad Transformer Prime will be made available by the company and that Google's Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update has been made available for this tablet, reported TabTimes.

The new HD version will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It is designed for better viewing experience for those who want to carry full HD content with them.
