Noon News: Motorola Razr Maxx; HTC Titan II; LG Spectrum at CES 2012

Motorola has unveiled the follow up to the Droid Razr Android based smartphone at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The Droid Razr Maxx will be offered by US mobile phone operator Verizon Wireless in few months' time and will be available for $300 on a two year contract, Motorola said.

Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC has showcased the HTC Titan II Windows Phone smartphone at the International Consumer Electronics Show. The device, the successor to the HTC Titan, one of the first WP7 devices to be launched, comes with a 4.7 inch display and a 16MP camera, the highest in any smartphone till date.

LG has unveiled the LG Spectrum 4G LTE smartphone at the on-going CES 2012 in Las Vegas. The new smartphone, which will be offered on Verizon Wireless network, is a HD device with a large 4.5-inch touch screen capable of 1250x720 resolution.

UK mobile phone operator Three has revealed that it saw a 500 per cent increase in data traffic on New Year's Eve year on year. According to the data released by the company, users used 80 terabytes of data on December 31, 2011, an increase of almost 500 per cent over the 14TB used on December 31, 2010.
