Philips Announces Made-for-Android Headphones at CES 2012

Philips has come up with made-for-Android Wi-Fi speakers, headphones at the CES 2012.

Royal Philips Electronics, a company committed to deliver various innovative entertainment solutions, has successfully manufactured first ever product line of Android powered music devices and Android only headsets.

The company previously introduced extensive range of Fidelio docking speakers which were compatible with Android devices and GoGear Connect 3 Android based MP4 player which proved to be huge success.

Vice president, Philips Consumer Lifestyle North America, Jacopo D'Alessandris, "We know Android users value the flexibility, robust functionality and style options supported by the Android operating system, and those details have inspired the design of our Android products," reported Sacramento Bee.

The vice president also added that the company is now offering robust music ecosystems for Apple as well as Android which are known for blending "award-winning sound innovation with easy to use, effortless style".

Philips is the very first company that is aiming to build Android specific products and not only iPad or iPhone oriented products. The headsets are expected to hit the UK market in the second quarter of 2012.
