Riyad Emeran joins Net Communities as Editorial Director

Net Communities is pleased to announce that Riyad Emeran will be joining its ranks and taking on the role of Editorial Director.

Riyad brings with him a wealth of editorial and publishing experience, built up over decades in the industry. In 2003 he co-founded with Net Communities Chairman, Hugh Chappell. Together they built TrustedReviews into the UK's leading publication in its sector, before selling the business to IPC Media in 2007.

Emeran also has a long history in traditional publishing, having overseen iconic magazine brands, such as Personal Computer World, and has worked for many of the UK's largest publishing houses.

In his capacity as Editorial Director, Riyad will oversee the strategy, development and day-to-day running of Net Communities' publishing portfolio. He will work closely with incumbent Editor Désiré Athow, ensuring that the highest possible editorial standards are achieved.

"I'm very excited to be working with Andy, Désiré, and, of course Hugh once more," Emeran said, adding "Net Communities is a company that's growing fast, and I'm keen to help build on that momentum in 2012."

"There's a great team at Net Communities, and all the right ingredients are in place to take its editorial properties to the next level," Emeran continued, "I believe that my editorial experience and vision can help the company achieve its publishing goals."

Andy Evans, CEO and MD, sees 2012 as an important year for Net Communities, stating: "This year, we have big plans to take our publishing division up a few notches and the appointment of Riyad to work alongside Désiré and the rest of our team is the start of a new era for Net Communities."

Hugh Chappell is equally happy about the appointment, commenting "Riyad brings vast knowledge, passion, experience and proven success to Net Communities so I am delighted he is joining full-time." Emeran will be starting at Net Communities officially on 30th January 2012 and can already be contacted through: riyad [at]
