Consumer electronics retailer Cloves has revealed it will start offering the BlackBerry 7 OS powered Bold 9790 starting January 20.
The retailer announced on its website that consumers can now pre-order the device, which will be available from January 20.
"We now have the BlackBerry Bold 9790 available to order on the Cloves website. The first stock is due to arrive here on the 20th, priced at £285 (£342 inc. VAT)," Cloves announced.
The unlocked BlackBerry device runs on the BlackBerry 7 OS as of now, but will surely receive an update to BlackBerry 7.1 OS after Research in Motion demos the OS at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month.
The BlackBerry Bold 9790 comes with a 1Ghz processor and 768MB of RAM. Based on the BB7 OS, the device comes with 8GB of on-board storage and 35-key backlit keyboard that RIM devices were once famous for.
The device is high on connectivity, offering Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G and Bluetooth technology, along with Near Field Communications support, which allows users to make mobile payments.
RIM has also thrown in a 5MP camera which comes with VGA video recording capabilities, 2x digital zoom and facial detection features.
