Online game streaming service OnLive will come integrated as an app with Google's TV platform.
The company, whose cloud based gaming platform has become a rage on the web, announced that Google has decided to make the service a standard feature in its Google TV - where it will be integrated in devices from manufacturers.
The integration will allow the supported Google TV platform to play instant-on games from their TV sets, with access to a huge collection of console-class games from several big-name publishers. The company said that users will initially be able to play the popular Saint's Row: The Third and Assassin's Creed: Revelations, too.
OnLive Google TV gamers will also have access to a host of social networking features, such as a worldwide massive spectating and Brag Clip videos. Google TV users on OnLive will also have access to voice and text group chat services.
"OnLive integration into Google TV is a huge leap forward for videogames," said Steve Perlman, OnLive Founder and CEO.
"Consumers have come to expect instant gratification with music, movies and video. Now, with OnLive, players in the US and soon in the UK can just as easily stream the highest-quality games to their Google TV devices for play instantly on demand, without discs or downloads." he added.
