The much anticipated Nokia Lumia 710 has been scheduled to launch in the UK on February 1st; and will be made available via Orange and Three, according to Recombu.
Though the price of the eagerly waited Windows Phone powered device has yet to be specified, it is likely to be far more affordable than its older sibling, Lumia 800.
Lumia 710 is second Nokia smartphone to run on the Windows Phone platform. According to reports, the device is similar to the Lumia 800 in many ways.
Just like the Lumia 800, the forthcoming device will be powered by a 1.4 GHz processor and it will be blessed with sophisticated 512 MB RAM. The built-in storage capacity of the device stands at 8 GB.
When it comes to the display aspect, however, Lumia 710 will be somewhat inferior to the Lumia 800. It will boast of a touch screen with WVGA display. The camera is also scaled down to 5 megapixel as compared to Lumia 800's 8 megapixel.
Nokia is counting on its new series of Windows Phone powered devices to regain its standing in the cut throat competitive global smartphone market. Whether this device or future devices will help Nokia regain popularity is anyone's guess.
