Walmart and the telecoms giant T-Mobile announced on Tuesday that the Walmart Family Mobile plan will provide users with unlimited text, web access and talk for just $45 a month.
With this new offering, T-Mobile has become the first carrier in the USA to have introduced an unlimited data access package, as a part of a family plan.
Both these companies are already known for coming up with pretty luscious offerings aimed at the budget sensitive consumers, and every now and then. This new plan has already been embraced by consumers in the country.
However, there is a downside too, according to reports, as the unlimited data plan does not always guarantee a 3G data speed.
In fact, those who subscribe to the new scheme before March 16 will be allowed to consume 5 GB of data at 3G speeds. All the new subscribers who sign up to the service after March 31st, will be able to surf at 3G speed, but only until the first 250 MB of data is consumed.
Anyone who wishes to take advantage of this new offering can do so by purchasing the plan, in any Walmart brick and mortar store, or in the official Walmart website.
