Infinity Ward Hiring for Call of Duty 10, with Next-Gen Technologies

Infinity Ward, the developer of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, is looking for new staff to work on the next generation sequel. The studio has posted a job ad for the position of senior animator, who must be interested in working with various next-generation technologies.

The company has not yet hinted anything about what they are planning to work on, however, as the Xbox 360 as well as PS3 are heading towards their seventh birthdays, the words "next-gen" seems to have some interesting connection to the above platforms.

Earlier, there was speculation that Sledgehammer Games might again provide assistance in developing Call of Duty 10 / Modern Warfare 4. Modern Warfare 3 had a record-breaking launch in the month of November.

In fact, in this new year, Treyarch might also continue the Call of Duty development pattern provided by Activision to launch a Black Ops 2 or even CoD: Iron Wolf. And if the current tradition continues then Sledgehammer / Infinity Ward might deliver another Modern Warfare title towards the end of 2013, Now Gamer suggests.

In fact, Activision might go back to its original plan, and besides these two studios could also appoint Beachhead to work full time to develop the popular franchise. Earlier, Infinity Ward developed Call of Duty 2's next generation launch title that was available for Xbox 360.
