Android 2.3.5 Update Allows HTC Smartphone Users to Take Screenshots

Some HTC smartphone device owners may have a little surprise waiting for them with the latest Android 2.3.5 update. Interestingly, after Google made the new update available by Google, a few Android powered HTC smartphones could be tweaked to enable some previously unseen features.

By simply holding the Power key and the pressing the Home key, users can take a screenshot to be saved automatically in the gallery. And better still, this can be accomplished without having to root the HTC device .

This unique feature can be found in the HTC Desire S and a few other devices that run on Google's Android 2.3.5 operating system with Sense 3.0, the latter being a custom UI from the Taiwan based smartphone maker.

In fact, the company explained on a Twitter post : "To take a screenshot of the phone, hold down the POWER button and press HOME. You'll find the image in Gallery."

Android 2.3.5 was made available for HTC Desire S through T Mobile on 16 January; the update also changes HTC's Sense 3.0 user interface.

The update seems to be working absolutely fine with HTC devices, as of now no complaints have been received.
