Online retailer Expansys has shaved a quarter off the price of the Motorola Razr, knocking it down to £400. In addition, Expansys is also bundling a cleaning kit, a car mount, a car adaptor and an O2 sim card with £10 credit for free.
The device is incredibly thin at 7.1mm, and the fact that it has Kevlar in its frame helps to keep it svelte. Motorola also used Gorilla Glass for the display with a dash of hydrophobic splash-guard coating.
To some extent, the Razr is a thinner version of the Atrix; they both have a dual core OMAP chipset from TI (with the one on the Razr clocked at 1.2GHz), a qHD resolution (the Razr has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED screen), 1GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage and a 1.3-megapixel camera.
Other features include a super large 1800mAh battery, GPS, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, microUSB port, an eight megapixel camera with flash, full HD video recording capabilities and Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
Like the Atrix - which has now been heavily discounted - the Razr can be docked to a Lapdock which converts it from a smartphone to something akin to a laptop. Note that customers can save an additional £15 when selecting Paypal as payment method and using the discount code 15PAYPAL at checkout.
