Micron Technology - the US based semiconductor giant has announced it is moving ahead with the proposed acquisition of Virtensys.
Virtensys happens to be one of the leading providers of PCIe-sharing offerings around today.
Industry experts are of the opinion that with this new move, Micron is going to improve its enterprise storing portfolio significantly. The agreement will facilitate a perfect platform for Micron to combine Virtensys' vast experience in PCIe virtualisation technology with its solid state drives, and thus empowering data centres around the world to share local storage throughout various servers.

On the other hand, Chairman and CEO of Virtensys, John Nicholson stated the technology of this company entirely complements the products of Micron because Virtensys is known for empowering virtual data centres. He also added by saying the Virtensys family is indeed delighted to join Micron Technology.
