Lead marketer Dawn Paine has announced she's leaving Nintendo UK and will be joining Universal Pictures, ending a ten year tenure at the Japanese console maker.
Paine has been part of Nintendo through some important years, helping with the launch of consoles like the Wii and DS. Now MCV UK has it that general manager David Yarnton will be taking over the marketing team.
"Dawn has been a valuable member of the Nintendo UK senior management team and over her ten years with the company has contributed greatly to our success through her leadership of the award winning NUK Marketing Team," Yarnton said in a statement. "We would like to thank Dawn for everything that she has done and achieved during her time at Nintendo and we wish her all the best in the future."
Paine herself has also been speaking out, saying that the time is right for her to move on, having spent a "transformative ten years at Nintendo." She said she was looking forward to throwing herself into "an exciting new adventure. That next chapter will be carved out with the fantastic team at Universal Pictures UK."
Maybe part of her new job will be making sure the Universal websites stay up. Whoever was responsible for the Universal Music one isn't doing a great job.
