Huawei aired a demo version of the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, running on an Honor smartphone in December last year. Now, the company has now dished out the Ice Cream Sandwich flavour in China.
Owners who have Huawei Honor powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread can expect an Ice Cream Sandwich update very soon. In fact, the company also confirmed that they will be launching a white edition Honor at the beginning of February. However, it is not yet clear whether it will be just for China or for the whole world.
Huawei Honor is available in US under the name Huawei Mercury through Cricket Wireless. The device has 4 inch FWVGA 854 x 480 resolution display, 8 mega pixels rear camera capable of 720p video recording, 1.4GHz single core processor, 4GB internal memory, 512 MB RAM and it supports 3G WCDMA/HSPA, GSM/GPRS/EDGE, reported Unwired View.
The 135 gram device has two microphones, a VGA front facing camera and also a microSD memory card slot to increase its memory storage capability. Hopefully, the Ice Cream Sandwich version will be made available throughout the world very soon.
