Late News: Nokia's Windows Phone Market Share, Casio Android G-Shock Smartphone, LG Optimus 4G

Microsoft may not release statistics about Windows Phone in its quarterly financial results but, third parties are already at it with statistics about various Windows Phone based smartphones. According to the statistics revealed by OccassionalGamer, HTC is the manufacturer of maximum number of Windows Phone based devices.

Casio has unveiled its concept model of a latest rugged Android G-Shock smartphone which is specifically designed for those users who face extreme environments frequently. When and if launched in the consumer market, users will not have to worry about causing any sort of damage to their devices.

South Korean second largest consumer electronics company Lucky Goldstar has made public that their Optimus LTE handset has reached over a million sales, within the USA, Canada, Japan and South Korea - in total. LG launched the LTE in October last year, initially in South Korea, where 60,000 devices were sold in the first three months alone and in a very competitive market.

Huawei provided a demo version of the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with the Honor smartphone in the month of December last year. Now, the company has dished out the Ice Cream Sandwich flavoured variant of the device in China. Owners who have Huawei Honor powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread can expect an Ice Cream Sandwich update very soon.

Unconfirmed reports are suggesting possible launch of Huawei's new Diamond series smartphones at the forthcoming Mobile World Conference (MWC) to be hosted in Barcelona. According to various media sources, the event has been scheduled on February 26 - just a day before the MWC officially starts.
