Unconfirmed reports are suggesting possible launch of Huawei's new Diamond series smartphones at the forthcoming Mobile World Conference (MWC) to be hosted in Barcelona.
According to various media sources, the event has been scheduled on February 26 - just a day before the MWC officially starts. The China based telecom equipment maker has already sent out invites for the press conference where the new Diamond series in likely to be introduced.
Ubergizmo, who was amongst the fortunate few to have received the call to attend the press conference, quoted the invite for the event mentioning about the launch of the "smartest, fastest and most high-performing smartphone". However, Huawei refrained from disclosing more information regarding the product in the invite.
Word on the web is that the device comes up with a pretty fast dual core mobile processor, a rather large touchscreen display equipped with Gorilla Glass, an impressive 8 megapixel rear camera as well as a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera.
But, nothing concrete can be said as of now whether or not the device will be powered by Ice Cream Sandwich - the latest avatar of Google's Android mobile OS platform.
