Nokia has announced that its panoramic image library 360 will be made available for the company's Nokia Maps for all handsets, powered by the Symbian v3.06 or above.
With this new announcement, it has been confirmed that users of the massively popular Nokia N8 and Nokia 700 will also be getting the hugely anticipated 360Cities too.
360Cities is the largest compilation of geo-referenced panoramic shots. Each of the images featured was shot by an expert panoramic photographer.
Also, the addition of 360Cities will allow Symbian users to "browse 360 degree photos shot close-by," or in their own preferred locations, explained Nokia CEO Stephen Elop, reportsNoknok.TV.
"It's easy and available now. We've just given it a go on our Nokia 700. You can browse from nearby panoramas, those especially selected, and the most popular. There's also an option to have a panoramic peep at other cities," Elop further added.
The new offering made by the company will be available for all users of the Symbian v3.06 onwards OS platforms. Users of Nokia Maps v3.08 can make full use of this new service using the "Guide" icon.
