UK phone operator O2 has cut the price of the Lumia 710, the smaller brother of the Lumia 800, down to £199.99 on pay as you go - making it the cheapest Windows Phone handset in the UK.
In comparison, the next cheapest Lumia 710 costs £255 at Ebuyer, although it is unlocked and SIM free, and the smartphone phone costs £21.50 on a two year contract from O2 with 200 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB data allowance.
The smartphone - whose body is made out of polycarbonate material - can be personalised with swappable back covers and is powered by the same 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 single core system on chip as the Lumia 800.
There's also a 3.7-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen ClearBlack display, 512MB RAM, 8GB RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, a five megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash, a microUSB port and a 1300mAh battery.
The phone runs on Windows Phone 7.5 Mango - which means that you get Internet Explorer 9, Zune, Office Mobile - and Nokia has also added a few bonus features of its own; there's the Nokia Drive which comes with turn-by-turn navigation, and Nokia Music which includes a music-streaming application called MixRadio.
