Cisco Boosts Wi-Fi Connectivity for Tablets, Smartphones

Apparently, the company claims that even when a certain wireless device is located at a considerably greater distance from the nearest access points, the Aironet 3600 will still facilitate the user to get up to 30 per cent faster and more steady performance.

It is worth mentioning here that this new offering from the hardware, networking giant happens to be the first ever three spatial stream 802.11n access point in the market to be blessed with two pairs of antenna (4x4.3).

"People are expecting more from their mobile devices: faster performance and constant, highly secure connectivity for any device to make the most of any service, whether it be from the cloud or datacenter", said Sujai Hajela, vice president and general manager, Wireless Networking Business Unit, Cisco.

"The new Cisco Aironet 3600 Series Access Point delivers just that at an even greater range, to help deliver the best experience for all wireless devices", Hajela added.
