When a leaked picture or piece of information from Apple's supply chain crops up, tech journalists and Apple fans look to glean as many clues as possible about next generation iDevices that may be launching in the near future.
Now, the next iPod Nano takes the center stage, as some new leaked pictures published by Apple.Pro hint to an intriguing possibility. It seems that the seventh or even sixth generation of iPod Nano will feature a small camera.
The pictures reveal some devices which look like the iPod Nano we know today, except with a camera on the rear face of the gadget.
This rumour supports some earlier reports pointing out that Apple has filed a patent relating to some new sensor technology allowing this possibility. There were also suggestions Apple may add not only a camera, but also support for new software, including games.
However, there is no way of knowing whether these leaked images are genuine of course, and it will actually become an Apple product.
Perhaps it could be a decoy to draw our attention from true prototypes? We cannot disregard the possibility after recently finding out how Apple tests the loyalty of new employees by assigning them completely bogus projects.
