Pictures that could well be of a rendered mockup of the Samsung Galaxy S3, have emerged on a Chinese website called XDA.
The three pictures show a smartphone that has a curved screen, not unlike an opened book with three physical buttons (including a play/pause one).
The article mentions the fact that the S3 may have a quad core Exynos processor, 2GB RAM, a 1280x720 pixel resolution spread on a Super AMOLED Plus 3D display with a 4.6-inch diagonal, a 12-megapixel camera and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (of course).
Techradar also pointed out that there is a big gap between the bottom edge of the screen and where the buttons are located, which is indeed strange.
Apart from the fact that getting 3D to run on a curved surface is not straight forward, it appears unlikely that Samsung will break away from the current rectangular designs to deliver such a revolutionary form factor.
