BlackBerry DevCon Europe 2012

ITPP has captured a video of the upcoming BlackBerry PlayBook 2.0 OS in a hands on walkthrough of the new platform, which ITProPortal has learnt will be arriving on existing PlayBook tablets in two weeks - according to a senior member of RIM.

The footage below highlights the new remote control features of the platform, which was first aired at the BlackBerry DevCon Europe developer's conference.

This video shows a BlackBerry mobile phone fully controlling the tablet, with the handset's keyboard being used to type text into an email.

The remote control feature can use the optical tracker pad and touch screen, to navigate around the tablet's OS where the phone's display can even be turned into a clicker, for power point presentations.

This video below notes a url transfer between devices; the new calendar interface, with the date number changing in size, according to how many appointments are on that day; imported contact information from LinkedIn; messaging in PlayBook 2.0 with Facebook and Twitter integration, plus the Android player.
