Word on the tech streets is that Apple is going to hold an event next month in San Francisco where the next avatar of its flagship tablet device iPad will be unveiled.
According to a report by All Things D, fanboys from across the globe could get a sneak peek into the much anticipated iPad 2 successor no later than the first week of March 2012. Apparently, the All Things D report was citing input taken from some unnamed sources, and it further claimed that the event is likely to be hosted at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.
The third generation iPad is likely to come with the same form factor as its older sibling iPad 2, albeit with a bunch of added features and enhancements. It is obvious that the product will come equipped with a much more sophisticated and faster chip in addition to featuring an enhanced graphics processing unit. Unconfirmed reports also suggest that it will be flaunting a Retina Display with the maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536p.
On being approached for comments, an Apple spokesperson straight away declined to disclose anything regarding these reports saying that it was not a company policy to comment on rumours and speculations.
