IBM has inked a five-year strategic agreement to deliver IT services for helping out CMA CGM Group, a shipping operator, in reducing their costs. As per the agreement, IBM will extend support for the growth of CMA CGM via delivery of information technology in the form of CMA Systems.
According to reports, this latest subsidiary will be having "equally represented governance structure" besides it will report to chairman and chief executive officer of CMA CGM, Jacques Saade, directly.
According to officials at CMA CGM, the latest services and technology developed by CMA Systems will help this company to generate significant saving in the current year, reported IT Services.
Jacques Saade stated that with the help of IBM this company will be able to further enhance as well as improve the customer service.
On the other hand, Alain Benichou, IBM France president, mentioned that this latest move of collaboration will permit IBM to provide support to CMA CGM to drive efficiencies as well as increase innovation with many latest technologies like analytics and also rapidly growing cloud.
