Samsung Benelux has sent invitations to the press for an event to be held in Amsterdam, Netherlands, where the company will showcase its 2012 line-up with no mention of smartphones or other mobile devices.
And Sammobile, who received one of the invites, is adamant that the design that adorns the invitation card (two imbricated white structures) hides the S3 logo.
Samsung has decided not to release its flagship handset at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week, as the slew of new handsets set to be unveiled might have diluted its impact.
Instead, the company may be looking to reveal its main mobile devices at a dedicated event similar to its regular "unpacked" ones.
The Galaxy S3 is expected to come with an HD ready, a 3D curved screen, a quad core Nvidia Tegra 3 system on chip (or the new Exynos 5210 Cortex A15 SoC), 1GB or 2GB RAM, 16GB/32GB onboard storage, a 12-megapixel camera, Bluetooth 4.0, a 7mm profile, a waterproof shield, a microSD card slot and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
It's worth noting that the iPad 3 is expected to be launched in March so there's a slim chance that Apple's tablet will be launched at the same time or very near to the 15th of March (which happens to be on a Thursday).
