Yandex, Russian search engine, has managed to strike a deal with Twitter whereby it will be adding the micro blogging site's data stream on their search results.
Tweets in Russian, Belarusian, Kazakh and Ukrainian languages will appear on the Yandex Blog Search results from now on along with top feeds in any other language.
Yandex's Blog Search manager, Anton Pavlov, stated that the website at present is focusing on social networking search and that, "This partnership with Twitter reinforces our effort in this area,"
Pavlov further added, "People share news, exchange opinions and discuss all sorts of matters in real time all the time. This kind of information will help us enhance our search results." reported The Register.
On the other hand, Twitter has not made any comment on this development yet. Both the sides have not disclosed how much the Russian firm has paid for handling Twitter's hose. However, Microsoft's Bing which is already having this facility has paid approximately $30 million for incorporating Tweets.
Yandex is a popular internet company in Russia and the company claims that they get 60 per cent of total search traffic in that country.
