Meg Whitman is all set to present the HP's fiscal first-quarter earnings through which the world's biggest personal computer maker is hoping to convince its investors that the company is doing better after Whitman took over the reins of the company.
Whitman has been appointed as the CEO of the company five months ago after the company decided to replace Leo Apotheker. The new CEO had a successful tenure as the CEO of eBay and thus much is expected from her. The first quarter fiscal report of HP will be the Whitman's first report card on her performance and competency as the top leader of the company.
The report will also provide an insight to the company's rehabilitation update after the financial breakdown it faced during the period from November to January.
When Whitman was appointed her primary task was to rebuild morale of the employees, repair the damages caused by her predecessor and most importantly regain the confidence of the customers. Till date her most significant business decision has been the decision to hold onto HP's PC business which Apotheker considered to discard, reported NY Times.
Many of her firm decisions have definitely influenced the earnings of the company and the fiscal report will show how well her decisions changed the financial status of HP.
