Google Planning 7-inch Amazon Kindle Fire Rival?

A Display Search analyst reported that, Google will make its debut in the tablet computers market in the current year through its 7 inch tablet device.

According to Richard Shim, Google will start producing its self-branded tablet from the month of April and this 7-inch device having 1280x800 megapixels resolution will be powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Over the last few years, tablet computers' popularity has been unimaginable; the credit definitely goes to incredible devices like Apple iPad 2, Amazon Kindle Fire and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Shim made few more predictions and according to him at the beginning the company will produce somewhere between 1.5 million to 2 million units. However, the analyst did not comment whether this device will be a premium device or Kindle Fire type low end device.

Due to acquisition of Motorola Mobility Google inherited three Motorola tablet computers Xoom, Xyboard and Xoom 2. So it has to be seen what Google plans for future.
