Microsoft, Good Technology Join Forces for Encrypted Mobile Messaging

Microsoft and Good Technology disclosed about their strategic application partnership which will enable usage of Good for Enterprise solution on various Windows Phone based devices.

Good Technology is a popular provider of managed as well as secured enterprise mobility for various mobile devices. Under the terms of this partnership, Good Technology will be providing "FIPS-certified 192 bit AES encryption for end-to-end mobile messaging for Windows Phone operating system" and this will be enabling secure access of huge corporate data with the use of Good for Enterprise.

This will ultimately create a very efficient and powerful security technologies for business set ups that can now offer their employees more and better choice while extending support to 'bring-your-own-device" (BYOD) environments.

Director of Product Management, Windows Phone Division, Microsoft, Tom Trinneer, stated, "Good Technology is a leader in providing encrypted email access to enterprise employees. This is why we selected Good as our Windows Phone 7.5 preferred partner solution for secured, encrypted mobile messaging."

The companies have stated that Good for Enterprise solution has been scheduled to be made commercially available for Windows Phone based devices by earlier second quarter of this year. It will be made available as an app and it can be downloaded from Microsoft's Windows Phone Marketplace.
