Nokia Turns Its Attention To Mobile App Developers

Reports made by Finnish mobile device maker, Nokia, have claimed that their Windows Phone platform based devices are the best around and to prove this point, the company has teamed up with a number of organisations as part of their new apps campaign.

Nokia disclosed that they had ties with brands including Red Bull, Michelin Travel, Kraft Foods as well as many others.

Speaking on Wednesday at the Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona, Nokia's president and CEO, Stephen Elop explained: "We're creating a platform to attract third party developers that's far friendlier and far more aligned with the interests of operators all over the world" reported PC World.

Elop also commented that the company is focusing their efforts in helping app developers make more money via their smartphones than other devices.

The executive also revealed a partnership between Microsoft and Kraft Foods, with the venture set to provide various offerings for devices like PCs, smartphones, Xbox and televisions.

However, the company has refused to reveal any further information regarding what the types of services these partnerships will provide to the devices as well as to its users.
